Expectations Of Team Managers:

1. Provide a positive, constructive and instructive experience for the players on your team
2. Designate a Team Parent who will help with the administration of various league events, fund raisers and paperwork
3. Communicate early and often with the parents of your players
4. Be positive and respect each child as an individual. Praise the effort not the outcome.
5. Teach the players the value of winning and losing

Responsibilities:

1. Safety always comes first. When in doubt, choose the safe route. Become familiar with the League Safety Manual
2. Have a plan for every practice and game that minimizes the amount of time where players have nothing to do
3. Read and understand the Little League International rules and Morrisville Little League (MLL) rules associated with your division
4. Respect the decision of the umpires. Arguing with an umpire is NOT allowed
5. Remain in the dugout at all times. You can leave the dugout only when you call “Time” and it is granted by the umpire
6. Maintain control and be responsible for the behavior of your players, assistant coaches and fans. Failure to do so can result in your ejection from the game and/or disciplinary action by the Board of Directors
7. Raise any concerns directly with the divisional coordinator first. If the concerns are not successfully resolved, you and the divisional coordinator should then raise the issue with the Board of Directors for consideration
8. Allocate playing time fairly and honestly in accordance with Little League rules and MLL guidelines
9. Allow time for proper field / cage, prep, cleaning before & after all practices and games. Ensure proper use, care and standards are maintained with all MLL facilities, e.g. no soft toss any MLL fences, no seeds, gum, food or colored drinks in cage.
